Sunday Thought - Dead Baby Elephant

The fat of an animal found dead or torn by wild animals may be used for any other purpose, but you must not eat it.

Leviticus 7:24

Baby Elephant found dead.
He cannot have been dead long
otherwise the Vultures would have been there.

  1. Sad thing, but death is part of life ;-)
It will help feed the scavengers...

  4. Oh how sad. I've seen films of grieving elephant mothers so I imagine there was a very sad adult somewhere nearby.

  10. It's nature and perhaps a oppotunity for other animals.

  13. oh how I hated to see this dead baby. I have seen how the mothers love and care for their babies, and know there is a very sad mother somewhere. Poor little elephant. We had 2 babies at our local zoo this past spring, and I loved photographing them with their mothers.
