I was returning from Belfast the other day I decided to
walk though Ward Park and photographed these birds, There were Greylag Geese, Guinea fowl,
Mallard, Black headed Gulls,Magpie and Rook taken straight from the camera. I was amazed that the Beech leaves were still on the trees.
I hope you seeing the birds as I passed through the park.
Thank you for visiting.
Many thanks for commenting.
The Greylag Geese is a superb birds, excellent photos.
ReplyDeleteGrey geese have always been my favourites.
ReplyDeleteWell that was a walk through the park that was well worthwhile, Margaret. The Rook images are my favourite!
ReplyDeleteI think that Beech tend to hang on to the last Margaret. Lovely colours as well.
ReplyDeleteHI Roy You could be right however I was coming home from Belfast last night and I came across a lot of trees that had green/yellow leaves on them. Hardly any had fallen and they were not Beech however I was not sure what they were. Thanks for your comment.
DeleteMarvelous photos of the birds. I particularly enjoyed the Greylag Goose. I don't get to see those here. The small waterfall shot is pretty too and the foliage. Thanks for visiting my art gallery post. I was very interested in your screening of the Vatican museums in 3-D. That must have been amazing.
ReplyDeleteHI Denise Many thanks for your comments. Yes seeing the Vatican Museums in 3D was absolutely amazing as were the sculptures in particular.
DeleteLovely captures!
ReplyDeletelove your captures of these beautiful birds and the park looks like a lovely place to walk in! That was a painting that I posted in my blog of the woman looking out to sea with her telescope. I thought it was a very powerful painting, and one that should represent a womans attitude! Hugs to you from Texas!
ReplyDeletei really like the greylag.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful set of photos, Margaret! What a super place for a walk and bird photography!
ReplyDeleteI never saw a Graylag Goose before, either. Thank you!
ReplyDelete~
I rather like the Rook and the Greylag pictures Margaret. Greylags are mostly ignored by birders but I don't know why.
ReplyDeleteNoisy birds are Greylag geese but I like them. What are Guinea Fowl doing there? The rook is a cracker. I do like Rooks.
ReplyDeleteHI Adrian Guinea fowl have been wild in this park for at least when I was a child. My Granny used to take me to the park to feed them. every time I go through the park I count them and I was a bit worried a few months ago as I only counted about 7 on walking though the park however now they all seem to be back. There are 11 of them. Out Greylags are not too noisy as they are used to people walking. by although they do leave a lot of poo around!
ReplyDeleteGreylag geese have such lovely colouring!
ReplyDeleteAs I scrolled through the pictures,I couldn't help but marvel at the small details in the feathers.SO much beauty when we only take the time to really look.
ReplyDeleteHow delightful a walk this was on this end as well. I wish a walk in our park, didn't have so much snow everywhere in sight! Enjoy your lovely weather and day!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots of beautiful birds.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful, peaceful scenes there in the park- as long as you don't stir up the Guinea fowl! Love the Beech trees - they bring back memories from my childhood in New England. Love the magpie.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret,

I wonder if the Turkey's neck gets cold in the winter though...
Peace :)
