This is the day in August that Judith, my daughter,
Daniel and Annika, 2 of my grand children and myself left for Malawi however
after having flown from N.Ireland to London, my other daughter discovered we
had to stay at the airport all day before our next flight and a she, Gillian
and Anna and Matthew, my other 2 grand children were at her mother in laws’
home in Surrey, so she picked us up so that for the last time for (you knows)
we could all spend this day together.
Today, I want to show you this beautiful garden of flowers, vegetables
and birds I found there.
Fox’s Barn
Anna, Daniel and Annika
Matthew is 13 years old and interested in sailing.
Gillian and Judith relaxing (my girls)
Anna is 14 years old and very good at 'doing' hair and loves ballet.
I am sure you agree that this is a beautiful garden although I don't know the names of all the plants. The post I did last Friday had the pond with beautiful Water Lilies in it from this garden. (CLICK HERE) The garden is open to the public a few times a year. From time to time it was raining and I had to take the short video through the window, you may wish to see the birds that came to the feeders.

What a truly delightful garden. To spend time with your family as well? BONUS.
ReplyDeleteHI EC Yes it was a BIG bonus for me as we have not ALL been TOGETHER for about 5 years.
DeleteWhat a fabulous garden. Much better to wait there with family and beauty rather than at the airport.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, the garden, house and your family are all beautiful.. I am glad you found time for everyone to get together.. Lovely photos and post.. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteLove your day at Fox's Barn which looks a very special place, some of the photos of the plants had me ohhing and aarghing as it takes me back, lovely as my garden is, and as exotic as some of the plants are to me (not to my Aussie friends) I see fuchsias, snapdragons and a veggie patch and I am back in the gardens of my youth! Lovely to see your gorgeous family too!

What a fabulous garden. Must take hours and hours of work.
ReplyDeleteThat is such an amazing garden. Just the very look I tried to achieve in my tiny yard including a lily pond. Your grandchildren are so very beautiful. I know that your daughters were pleased to spend a little more time together. What a nice surprise to be able to have a few more hours with all together. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteIt's always so nice to see that someone has maintained old structures like the barn and then enhanced it to be something truly special. The gardens are lovely, Margaret.
