WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY
These images were taken when I
went Birding with a group in the Cairns Botanic Gardens. They are the Australian Brush Turkey and the Orange
footed Scrubfowl.
What a nice collection of birds. After seeing the turkeys, I think I will have ham for Thanksgiving instead. I read on Elephant Child's blog that you will be providing the Wednesday words next month. I want to be sure I found your blog and know where to come. :)
The turkey is wearing the prettiest yellow collar. He is quite different looking from our American turkeys! And here I always thought turkeys are native only to America!
I got but a fleeting glimpse of Australian Brush Turkey on a visit to NSW last October. I will be returning in July next year and hope to do better. Thanks for these images.
Lovely things - though himself's uncle is not impressed when they build mounds in his garden.
ReplyDeleteHello, it is neat seeing the Australian Bush Turkey. Great photos. Enjoy your day, wishing you a great week ahead.
