There
were Yellowhammer in the area of my old caravan and often I heard them singing
even one morning from my bed. However
they were very hard to see and these are the only images I managed to obtain.
I
am linking with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.
Many thanks for visiting and also for leaving comments.
You see and hear some marvels at your old caravan.

ReplyDeleteHaven't seen a Yellowhammer for ages. I'd forgotten what a great looking bird it is......
ReplyDeleteDid you offer it "a little bit of bread, but no cheese"? They often ask for this!

ReplyDeleteHello there,
ReplyDeleteI never get a chance to respond but I enjoy your blog. Just wanted to drop in and say hi. Love this little guy! Have a great week Margaret!

They are a cute little bird.
ReplyDeleteI’d love to wake up to these birds singing! Came from WBW, but wanted you to know I also read every word (including the informative signs) of both your workhouse posts. I’ve read a little about them (, in novels mostly I think), but to actually see your pictures makes it all so real and horrifying...but I appreciate your sharing. As with our country, it is important to remember our history, bad as well as good. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your travels.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird! Really nice shots considering he is so elusive!
