These
are some images of inside the National Trust Property of Mount Stewart House. As this is the year of ” Woman in Power”, some of the clothes Lady Edith wore are on display. This is the Indian Satin robe she wore when she attended the Coronation of King George V1 on 12 May 1937.
Later the robes were altered and wore by her daughter Baroness Jessel at the Coronation the Queen Elizabeth 11 in 1953.

This
is one of the bedrooms, then the dining room and finally the Chapel which is
still used once a month.
Many

hope you will pop back and look at Monday's post of some images of the garden at Mount Stewart.

ReplyDeleteAre you a docent there? You know so much about the place.
ReplyDeleteImpressive house, but I would not trade mine for it. Always good to see a slice of the past in your photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
