Agapanthus at the "Cottage" in Malawi

Agapanthus is the only genus in the subfamily Agapanthoideae of the flowering plant family Amaryllidaceae. The family is in the monocot order Asparagales. The name is derived from scientific Greek: αγάπη = love, άνθος = flower.  Although there were huge flowering beds of this beautifu plant, today i am showing only 1 flower head and many edits from that one image.  Now which one do you prefer?

Many thanks for your visit and also your commenets.

Once, just once, we saw a pink agapanthus and I have been looking for it ever since.
