FRIDAYS' HUNT anad WEEEKEND REFLECTIONS -

Once again it is time for Friday’s Hunt and Weekend Reflections and this week the letter is K, Favourite and Drink.  Since it is St Patrick’s Day let me offer you a dram of the hard stuff and this is the real thing. Good old Irish Bushmills Whiskey.  The Rolls Royce DRINK of the Whiskey’s.

The other morning I walked down Bangor Pier and there was a large  fishing boat in harbour and it was tied up securely beside the quay by bollards and winches with ropes that had lots of KNOTS in them.  You could see the KEEL of the boat.  At the water's edge I spied some KELP.

On my way back home I walked through Ward Park and took this REFLECTION  shot.

Now I am having some friends round for Irish Coffee, cheese and biscuits and Irish Liquors.  Come join us!

Many thanks for visiting and also for your comments.

    1. Sue, Idon't like whiskey, cannot stand the smelll of it but do not mind it in Irish Coffee at all. The other ingredients over powers it.

  4. Honestly, your rope pictures are my favorite today. Who would have thought that you can make old rope look look beautiful? Yet you have! They are gorgeous, and would make a wonderful collage to hang on the wall. They are GORGEOUS!!! I have actually never seen anything like these photos. Brilliant.

  9. Were you wearing green for your walk? In the States we get pinched on St. Pat's Day if we don't were at least some green. Your Ward Park looks nice, would it be considered a 'neighborhood park'. Or is it miles away? Oh yes, I like the knots also. My grandfather taught me some knots, I remember our session on the square knot versus the granny knot.

  10. Wow, your rope and other nautical pictures are marvellous. You really had an eye for detail there, and it makes your photographs really shine. Fabulous! Happy St. Patrick's Day (a day late). I'll stick with wine but I'm sure my husband would love the whiskey.
