These are Greylag Geese that I photographed in Ward Park.
The last image is a mixture of species of geese and this pair arrive back
every year with us.
I am linking this
post with SATURDAY CRITTERS.
Many thanks for your visit and also your comments.

ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, the geese are beautiful. Your two close-ups of the bird preening are spectacular. Brilliant photography! Have a great Saturday. Jo (PS What's the goose eating)

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend!
Lovely shots and great close ups!
ReplyDeleteBusy eating away! :-) Love the shot where its head is bent down. Greylags are such beautiful geese!
ReplyDeleteComing back to actually answer your question about the brie - put little cubes on top, when the dish is done. It will quickly melt, since the veggies are warm.Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful goose and wonderful photography as always ~ thanks,
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy Weekend ~ ^_^
I love geese but the Greylag is one of my favorites. Super photos Margaret.
ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures.I like the close-ups that show the feather detail.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of the geese - they look very well fed! It's so green there. We're still under a lot of snow here.
ReplyDeleteThe first I saw this post was on my old fashioned cell. I could not figure out what kind of unusual goose you had found that had a beard. Now that I can see in full size and the total post I had to laugh. Beautiful work on your part.
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous! I don't know if it is the same breed by a different name or similar breeds, but they look just like the Toulouse geese I used to have.
ReplyDeleteI like how the goose is looking at your camera in those first three photos!
ReplyDeleteIt is great to be able to identify the birds. Nice pair. :)
