FRIDAY'S HUNT and WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

As most of you know I am in Malawi with my daughter Judith and her family and for this Friday’s Hunt I have chosen the letter C to CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS with friends and family.  These shots were taken at a CANDLELIGHT service at their CHURCH on CHRISTMAS Eve.  Our family are CHRISTIANS and at this time of the year we remember the true meaning of CHRISTMAS and the COMING of Jesus CHRIST as a baby  and later when He was CRUCIFIED for all our sins.

Below, Jon, my son in law is playing the bass guitar.

The rest of these photos were taken on CHRISTMAS Day and Annika is showing me the COVER of her new book and Daniel is showing me his new CALVIN KLEIN boxer shorts.  The last shot was taken at breakfast time.  Note we have CUTLERY and CUPS on the beautiful African tableCLOTH which is laden with COOKED food.  Notice the REFLECTIONS of the bars on the floor. They are all my FAVOURITES this week.

I am linking this post with Friday's Hunt and Weekend Reflections.

Many thanks for visiting and also for all your comments.

GOOD FENCES Malawi

I am not sure whether Good Fences is up and running yet but here are some slightly ‘out of the box fences’ from Malawi.  Security is a big thing here and so this floor to ceiling bar grills are on their veranda.  You will see that at night time they are all ‘fenced’ in under a mosquito net.  I am linking it with

Next week I will show you how the whole garden is 'fenced' in.

Thanks you for visiting and also leaving comments.

FRIDAY'S HUNT and WEEKEND REFLECTIONS

This week Friday’s Hunt is the letter Z and I have an image of a Zebra that I photographed at Kruger National Park, Africa, Favourite and Holidays.  Well that was not too difficult as I am on HOLIDAYS in Malawi.  Every   Christmas it is traditional in our home to make a Gingerbread House so I bought 2 kits in Northern Ireland and took them for my 2 grand Children in Malawi and the day after I arrived them made them.

Every ZEBRA has unique strips and there are 3 different species in the world.
Plain, Grevy's and Mountain.

This is Annika above with her Gingerbread House and Daniel below with his.

The REFLECTION shot was taken of me by Daniel  when I was in a very small pool they have at their home where I was trying to cool off.

FRIDAY'S HUNT anad WEEKEND REFLECTIONS - Y, Favourite and Festive

Last week I travelled into Belfast and this sign was just perfect for Friday’s Hunt as one of the words was Festive.   The second shot was taken at the Ulster Museum and for me was a very FESTIVE display in the main entrance.  The letter this week was Y and I will leave you all to decide on your own FAVOURITE this week.

This is a YACHT or one of the tall ships and the 3 signs below starting with "Y" were photographed recently in Dublin.

Lastly a REFLECTION image taken in the Formal Garden at Mount Stewart House and Gardens, near Newtownards, Northern Ireland and it is linked to Weekend Reflections.

Thanks for  visiting and also leaving your comments.

I am off to Malawi but will schedule in posts although will not be able to comment on any of yours until early next year.
