Last time I was on the Isle of Wight, I visited
Yarmouth and these are some of the birds I saw there. I didn't know until I looked at the photos at home that there were 2 Mediterranean Gulls among the Black headed gulls. See if you can find them!

Looks like a very nice day for it...................the Med Gull must have felt a home.
ReplyDeleteSuper birds, lovely photos :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's a while since I've been to the Isle of Wight - we took our tiny boat over there in the summer of 2008. Your delightful accounts of your visit are inspiring me to return, Margaret!
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and video of the gulls.
I saw only one black-headed gull.
Best regards, Irma
Hi Margaret, Med Gulls in summer Plumage are magnificent. The sooty mask and the lack of black at the tips of the primaries are the give aways.
ReplyDeleteA grand selection today.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous. Again.
ReplyDeleteThe reflections are so beautiful on the water, Margaret! And, so were the photos from your sunset sail!! Wonderful family time! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteWonderful variety of ducks and birds.. Great shots, Margaret! Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the photos immensely, along with your video. I always love to see the gulls. I wish I could see the Mediterranean Gull but I always had a hard time finding Waldo :) Back to take a look!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a teal, crazily enough.
ReplyDeleteThe med gull has a sort of smudge directly behind the eye, rather than a more curved dark patch over the ear?
Great collection of waterbirds, Margaret.
