I am glad you all enjoyed seeing the lovely little
Crested Tit yesterday and today I am showing you some more of the birds at the
feeders at Loch Garten in Scotland.
There was Treecreeper, Coal Tit, Great Tit, Chaffinch and Goldfinch. They are feeding on peanuts and peanut butter which had been smeared on the tree trunk. I do not
think anymore words are necessary so enjoy the stills and there is also a short video
at the end of this post.

I just love Treecreepers but have never managed to capture one. Congratulations. Wonderful to see - thanks Margaret.
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret, These are sweet pictures and I really enjoyed the video, as well.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day.
Love this little tree creeper. I am also very interested in the material used for this red bag of feed. That would be perfect for use at my cabin. Is it a material that you could buy do you think? I am guessing some sort of nylon mesh. Are those peanuts that are in it?? Going to make my self one of these out of something. Great little bird shots you got in this garden. I actually already turned in that lens.... only had it for the weekend. Going to rent another 400mm that is smaller for my upcoming trip.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Creeper!!! I saw one for only an instant long ago and no camera. I hope I am lucky like you and spot one sometime soon. Great images as always Margaret.
ReplyDeleteIt's always enjoyable to spend time watching how busy the birds are when they visit the feeders. Nice to see the Treecreeper too...[;o)
ReplyDeletesuch cute little birds. nice way to feed them in the bark. :)
ReplyDeleteThe treecreeper is a georgous little bird but one which isn`t in the habit of posing for pictures. I think I shall have to ge some peanut butter. It`s a great idea. I wonder would it cause any problems for the birds?
ReplyDeleteYou really lucked out with getting all these shots. I know I wouldn't have been able to :) The video was interesting too, as always. Thanks so much for sharing.

That little tree creeper is so interesting. I've never seen a bird quite like it. I think I'm smelling peanut butter now. :)
ReplyDeleteawesome little birdies!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures We call the Tree Creeper by the name,Brown Creeper.Either way,you have given me the idea of spreading some peanut butter on a tree for this bird.
ReplyDeleteAwesome shots of the tree creeper! They move so fast and are extremely difficult to photograph. I forgot about smearing peanut butter on our tree trunks. That will be put on my to-do list today!
ReplyDeleteVery nice photos!
ReplyDeleteYou really took advantage of the opportunity.
Great captures of the Treecreeper. Not an easy bird to get.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful little birds and great to have them that close and be able to get such great photos.
ReplyDeleteI like birds. Unfortunately I do not have time to watch them ...
ReplyDeleteso you can admire them. Thank you.
Greetings.
I love the treecreeper. It looks very much like our brown creeper. ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat series of bird photos. The Tree Creeper is my favorite. Have a happy weekend!
