I have given myself permission to post whatever I want
today as it is my birthday. As so many bloggers are either knee deep in snow,
having too much rain or are in blistering heat, and hoping for spring to arrive
early, I thought you might all be ready for a laugh, perhaps a smile, or even a tiny giggle? Well here goes, sit back and see if you are
amused!
Why do supermarkets make the sick, walk all the way
to
the back of the store to get their prescriptions.
While healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front?
Why
are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
Why do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries,
and a diet coke?
Why
do banks leave vault doors open and then chain the pens to the counters?
Why
do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in our driveways and put our
useless junk in the garage?
EVER
WONDER...
Why
the sun lightens our hair, but darkens our skin?
Why
can't women put on mascara with their mouth closed?
Why
don't you ever see the headline 'Psychic Wins Lottery'?
Why
is 'abbreviated' such a long word?
Why
is it that doctors and attorneys call what they do 'practice'?
Why
is lemon juice made with artificial flavouring,
and dish washing liquid made
with real lemons?
Why
is the man who invests all your money called a broker?
Why
is the time of day with the slowest traffic called rush hour?
Why
isn't there mouse-flavoured cat food?
Why
didn't Noah swat those two mosquitoes?
Why
do they sterilize the needle for lethal injections?
You
know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes?
Why
don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff??
Why
don't sheep shrink when it rains?
If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?
Now
I hope you've smiled at least once. We
all need to smile every once in a while!!
OH!!
- you didn't smile - well how about this one:-
Thank
you for visiting and I hope I have given someone a smile today.
Each one must give as he has declared in his heart, not
reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

I first have to say HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, and would love to sing it if we were a bit closer. Your post here is just totally witty and so funny. It started my day perfectly. Surely you did not sit around and think all of this up your self?? If so, you are way smarter than I am... Truly Margaret I hope your coming year is the best ever! Oh, and on that bag for bird feed, There are several wonderful birding supply stores around where I live, so I will try to find one of those bags for a good example. They look perfect to hang up on the cabin trees. I will also carefully heed your good advice about its use. Birthday Hugs to you!
