This post starts Eileen's 3rd days birding and we decided to go to Bembridge, I.O.W. I have done a bit of experimenting with some of the shots.
Mallard
Tufted Duck
There were about 16 long tailed Tits flying between trees but the light was in the wrong quarter to get a descent shot.
Coot
This was an old rusty disused boat house. I liked the reflections.
These Pochard were quite a distance away and neither of us could get a closer shot than this.
I hope you enjoyed this post.
Thank you for visiting today and for those that left comments.
Love the Mallard. That is an incredible green.
ReplyDeleteAnd the reflections are simply lovely.
Great shots of the waterfowl. The mallards the reflections are lovely. Have a happy day, Margaret!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful images. I liked the photo effects with the mallards.
ReplyDeleteI agree you've caught some gorgeous reflections -especially the boat house, shame it has been retired. I also like your photo experiments-gives the duck some speed.
ReplyDeleteThese shots are lovely Margaret! I especially love your reflective ones of the boathouse on this saline lagoon. Also such a great shot right after the boathouse. Looks like a great spot for photography. Hope that you have a wonderful Christmaas and would love to hear about some of your traditions for the holidays!
ReplyDeleteNice location there Margaret! I think I like the boathouse shots the best, as well as the one following them of the long waterway and grasses.
ReplyDeleteYou caught those reflections wonderfully!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
the reflections are really stellar, margaret! beautiful job!
ReplyDeleteagreed on the boat house, lovely images as is the following shot looking down through the reed beds, lovely!
ReplyDeleteA very beautiful area and you got some great reflections.
ReplyDeleteWhat a glorious area to bird!! Love the tufted ducks!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scenery in reflections, and you were quite keen to move that Mallard Duck around in different colours, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteThe photos of the rusty old building and its reflections are spectacular.
ReplyDeleteThe fourth picture down is the mallard I like the best. I learned something new today, the Saline Lagoons. The house, it looks like it is actually on the water! And I guess the rust is from the water washing up on it because the top does not look as bad as the bottom.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. Seeing the Mallard, makes me long for spring.
ReplyDeleteAll are great photos! The boat house and it's reflections are fantastic.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a great place to go exploring.
Beautiful shots, Margaret! I love the houseboat, too.
ReplyDeleteA very interesting post Margaret - love the reflections in the water :)
