I know a lot of you like the Wren and when I was looking at a Wren from USA yesterday, I wondered what the difference was and one of the bloggers send me good web sites with the information and so to say thanks to Steve, this is one of my UK Wrens that came outside my caravan to wake me up every morning. Note on this video I am inside and my camera still picked up the loud sound of this little bird and listen for another Wren who is answering this Wren's call. The video can be accessed at http://youtu.be/inqA1q3DVbc
While I was at the caravan I took some random mostly non nature shots and have experimented a bit with them so to finish off, sit back and see what you think!!
Well there you have it for today and thank you for visiting.
I have now been able to leave replies but not in the usual way although it is still a bit hit and miss so thanks you to all for left comments on any post yesterday.
delightful Wren video, at times he looks as if he is singing for you and just for you. I like your photos, the barbed wire is always a fascinating subject and I think they are my favourites..
ReplyDeleteThe barb wire. I am thinking of cold war.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn Yes you are correct, the Wren did see me in the caravan and just kept on singing. It was very special. I think i like the middle chain one best.

ReplyDeleteYou did a good job with the video. I also enjoyed your still photo experiments.
ReplyDeleteOh my, those little wrens really know how to sing...we should all be so lucky!! Love the processing on the chains.
ReplyDeleteHI Tex Thanks for comments and glad you liked the chain & wires shots.
ReplyDeleteHI George Thanks for comments and glad you liked the post. Margaret
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your little wren video! He is quicker and flittier than a chickadee, your eyes can hardly follow him! And you captured his voice well. I also remember when they get mad, they make like a high pitched buzzing or humming. I love the different ways you made the huge iron chain look, and maybe most of all, the yellow dandelion with all black and white around it.
ReplyDeleteWrens are such entertaining and whimsical little birds!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are wonderful.
Have a nice weekend.
My cats hear your wren's song and are looking all over my office!
Oh, I was amazed at your film of Wren, it was a brilliant.
ReplyDeleteI have a little Wren that seems to think it is his duty to wake me up at about 4am,a little too early for me.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Quite a set of lungs this little guy's got!
ReplyDeleteI love the video of the wren and you narrate so well Margaret. Very enjoyable. It's also fun to play with photographs. I liked them with different effects. Wishing you a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, We have little Carolina Wrens here --and their song is gorgeous --and LOUD... Love it!!!!! They keep trying to nest in our garage --and we keep on running them out. I'd hate for them to get shut up in there when we are gone.... Great little video.
ReplyDeleteLove your nature shots also... Looks like you had some fun!!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Great wren video - such beautiful little birds :) Love the photos - I bet it was great fun to experiment. Did you use Photoshop? Keep telling myself one of these days when I have more time I will learn how to use it :)
ReplyDeleteThese are the kind of images that win big prizes Margaret.
ReplyDeletePlaying with images like this is fun - I need to do more black and white images.
ReplyDeleteCheers and thanks for linking to WBW - Stewart M - Melbourne
Sweet little wren!
ReplyDeleteThey are all nice photos! For some reason, I am always drawn to black and white photos of inanimate objects. The video is amusing and entertaining!
ReplyDeleteGreat post for the themes!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
Love wrens, and the way their tails flit up and down.
ReplyDeleteI love listening to the wrens. They are so cheerful! They always make me smile.
ReplyDeleteLove this little wren singing his heart out! Makes me want to go out and sit in a meadow to listen
