My
daughter Gillian and I have just returned from spending a lovely time together
on the island of Tenerife, Spain and I was very surprised at how few birds we
found in this area. The main bird
everywhere was this Collared Dove.

I can see why he gets this name! We have the Mourning Doves.
ReplyDeleteThe collared dove is a charmer.
ReplyDeleteThey're very much like our doves that whooo whooo all day long in the summer.
ReplyDeleteHello, The Collared Dove is sweet, great photos.
ReplyDeleteTake care, enjoy your day and week ahead.
I wonder why? I would have thought there were many because it's seaside, isn't it? Maybe it's seasonal? #WildbirdWednesday.
ReplyDeleteThe Collared Dove is beautiful. We have recently seen a comeback of those doves in my area.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty birds, very similar to the doves here.
