WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

There are a lot of Mallard ducklings now in Ward Park and it is hard to work out how many have been predated probably by My Grumpty the Heron however here is a Mallard with 1 duckling and another with a family of three.

    Judging by the families we see here, I'd say they've lost a bunch... AH well, that's nature, I suppose.

    What beautiful photos! Do the Herons kill and eat the Mallards? Gosh, I thought they only ate fish!
