  5. What a fine looking fountain. Fountains around here are all drained for the winter as our nights are well below freezing.

  6. My first reaction too was that it looked like a whale's tail, Margaret, and I feel sure it must have been designed to do so, with the fountain itself looking like a spouting whale too. A wonderful piece of sculpture!

    1. Well I do not know why i never found out about this fountain but here are now the fact - NOT A WHALE! #
      In the centre is a fountain with a bowl in the shape of a flax flower. It is called a twister twisting and has a tongue twister carved in the surrounding base. The water rising up from the fountain twists, but this is only visible in photographs as it happens so rapidly.
