Recently
a friend and myself visited the WOW Centre in Belfast and on that occasion we
saw 6 Snipe which were quite a distance away however one of them came a bit
closer and I was able to get these photographs which are heavily cropped and all were photographed through glass.
I
am linking with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.
Thanks for visiting and also for commenting.
Such subtle little charmers.
ReplyDeleteExtra ordinary bird with a long beak. Have a wonderful week. Keep well and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteAlways sticking his nose in... :)
ReplyDeleteNice!!
ReplyDeleteWow---you got some great shots of that bird. Look at the LONG beak!!!!! Woooo...
ReplyDeleteHope you are okay and hope there's not many cases of the Corona Virus there. We are okay here in Cumberland County, TN now... Our county has NO Corona Virus cases at this time. George and I are just being careful --but not in panic-mode (like so many other people).
Stay safe and well.
Hugs,
Betsy
Beautifully caught!
ReplyDeleteEven though cropped and thru glass, they are such good pictures. Snipes are so hard to find, do you know the saying about going on a snipe hunt? I need to look that up and read about it. I love his stripped head!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are quite good given your limitations. How fortunate this little Snipe decided to pose for you.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a real nice place to view wildlife. Enjoyed your photos as always Margaret. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThey are an interesting looking bird.
