Imperial Pied Pigeon in Cairns, Queensland.

 These images of the Imperial Pied Pigeon were taken when I visited Cairns Esplanade and had just arrived to start breeding here.

    They are very different to the pigeons we see 'down south'.

    This pigeon looks good in your photos, but I have never been fond of pigeons since they were a plague in downtown Chicago.

    We have lots of pigeons around her and an occasional white one, but this one looks different.
