SUNDAY THOUGHT

At that time Jesus’ parents also offered their sacrifice for purification—“either a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons” was the legal requirement.

  2. That is a great picture of the birds! You must have a mighty steady hand. :)

We have two different kinds of doves that come to our backyard - the Inca dove and the mourning dove. I was told that pigeons and doves are in the same family. I don't know if we've ever had an official pigeon in our yard, but the doves are here on occasion. I know when they fly in because they are the only birds whose wing beat I hear.

    Have a blessed weekend.

  3. They look similar to the species that are found at my place.

  4. Fine looking pigeon photo. Many people have mixed attitudes toward pigeons.

  5. I wonder if pigeons were as prolific then as they are now?
