At
that time Jesus’ parents also offered their sacrifice for purification—“either
a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons” was the legal requirement.

thanks for visiting and also for leaving any comments.
Have
a Blessed Sunday.
Pigeons! These are lovely and look like a pair.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great picture of the birds! You must have a mighty steady hand. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have two different kinds of doves that come to our backyard - the Inca dove and the mourning dove. I was told that pigeons and doves are in the same family. I don't know if we've ever had an official pigeon in our yard, but the doves are here on occasion. I know when they fly in because they are the only birds whose wing beat I hear.
Have a blessed weekend.
Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteThey look similar to the species that are found at my place.
ReplyDeleteFine looking pigeon photo. Many people have mixed attitudes toward pigeons.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if pigeons were as prolific then as they are now?
