THROUGH MY LENS - Mount Stewart - XIX French Clock

This has been an exciting week for the National Trust Property, Mount Stewart, near Newtownards, N.Ireland as they had a Pet Nose Day last Sunday (lots of images in future posts) and then the Grand Opening of the wonderfully restored stone floor in the Entrance Hall (this will be next Monday’s post) so today I am showing you a wonderful VIDEO of a X!X French clock situated in the dining room. (I gave you the wrong centuary in the video)

I am linking this post with THROUGH MY LENS.

  4. Interesting post and video... I love clocks and have 3 old clocks in our home.. One came from a lady in Germany, one from my Mom/Dad, and one from George's family.

    Thanks for sharing.

  7. Wonderful ormolu clock! Lovely video...enjoyed hearing the story of Cincinnatus. Would have to disagree that the Continentals offered George Washington wealth by becoming President. He was already a wealthy land-owner by marriage, and when Congress enacted that Presidents should receive $25,000 per year as salary, I believe he refused said salary, but I may be incorrect. Still, a fascinating post!
