April Flowers at Mount Stewart

On the day of the Grand Opening of the restored stone floor in the main Entrance Hall at Mount Stewart (post next Monday), I arrived 2 hours early and was able to go round the lake so these are some of the photographs I took.
Perhaps you would like to pick a favourite?

Many thanks for visiting and also for commenting on this post.

  1. All are beautiful, but I think the first of the unfurling ferns is my favourite this week.

  6. Oh MY! One of your best posts ever!! You have perfectly captured the intricate beauty of the flowers!! The fine hairs on the leaves of picture 2. The delicate curl of the fern. Now, I believe the first one is Foxglove. The fourth and fifth ones Rhododendron. Gorgeous!!! I had been wondering when you were going to show us the floor. Now Monday will be special.
