BUTTERFLIES at the WOW RSPB Centre in Belfast

These are some butterflies I saw when I went to the area around the WOW RSPB Centre in Belfast last week.  I am not sure but I think the first one is a Common Blue, Small White, Speckled Wood, Painted Lady and Red Admiral.

Perhpas someone could tell me if this is a Common Blue please?

  3. Lovely set of Flutters Margaret. Yes I think its a Common Blue.
The third row black dots running along under the outer wing edge shows that its a Common as opposed to an Adonis that has less and not such a straight line.

  4. Beautiful captures of a lovely variety of butterflies! If that is a common blue, you were very lucky as I just read at the weekend that they have been successfully reintroduce in the British
    Isles.

  6. You've highlighted an important aspect of RSPB reserves Margaret. The reserves serve a secondary purpose in increasing insect populations. Lovely photos. Thank you.
