I photographed these Swans with their cygnets when I
took my family from Malawi there to see the magnificent House and Gardens at
Mount Stewart, near Newtownards, Northern Ireland. The cygnets are growing up fast and I must
get back soon to see how they are getting on.
I am linking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.
I hope you enjoyed seeing this Swan family again and thanks for visiting.
Many thanks to all who leaave comments on this post.
So beautiful...AND cute! And mom and dad are both there. The scenes are the picture of peace.
ReplyDeleteThey are glorious things, and their fluffy babies melt my hard heart.
ReplyDeleteThere's something rather speciaal about cygnets. And it's good to watch how good their parents are in looking after their brood. "Keep well clear" the usual advice.
ReplyDeleteThe original 'ugly ducklings' I think - I managed to get a few pictures of Mute Swans in Scotland - may not seem that remarkable, but they were a year tick for me!!
ReplyDeleteCheers - Stewart M - Melbourne
they're so adorable.
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret, lovely images of the swan family. I like the cute cygnets, they are adorable.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day and the week ahead!
What a privilege to see this beautiful family.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing. Have a great week
Beautiful family!! Lovely and cute babies cygnets!
ReplyDeleteHow cool to see those little ones!
ReplyDeleteThe cygnets are great looking. They sure are not ugly ducklings. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos. Beautiful swans.
Greetings.
Your photos are wonderful, and the cygnets are cute. Unfortunately they, just like our children and grandchildren, grow up entirely too fast.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteSurely my blood pressure went down while enjoying your fine post, M
ReplyDeleteThe cygnets are darlings! I'm sure you all enjoyed them at beautiful Mount Stewart!
ReplyDeleteI actually spotted a Mute swan family the other day. A late hatch as it seems. Only saw them from afar though.
ReplyDeleteGraceful even at a young age.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos, Margaret, particularly the ones of the cygnets packed closely together on the water.
ReplyDeleteLovely! The last time I saw cygnets was when I was in England. We don't really get them around here too often.
ReplyDeleteSeeing the young being born and growing is so refreshing.
ReplyDeleteThe little ones are as charming as the adults.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. And the babies!
ReplyDeleteNow I see them, and what gorgeous images you have taken of the swans and cygnets.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful sight Margaret.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful . . . gives me feelings of peacefulness.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable! Such beautiful birds around the waterways. Anytime I see them, I smile. Swans are amazing birds.
