SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY and THROUGH MY LENS

  • Time again for the weekly Scavenger Hunt Sunday and the photographs below is how I have illustrated the words.

  • 1. Winter
  • Above in image taken in in Ward Park which i jut 2 minute from my home and below is a shot taken my my bedroom window.

  • 2. Mail
  • I have just returned from flying from Gatwick to Belfast last week and I photographed this Royal Mail pillar box at the airport and below are some of the Christmas mail that I have ready for posting.

  • 4. Tradition
  • In my daughter' church there is a tradition that on one day before Christmas they have a day where they give away free new items that have been donated to the lesS fortunate.  They dressed up for this event.  This is my daughter Gillian and my grandson Matthew.  Below is a very British tradition of eating Brussels sprouts with your Christmas dinner.

  • 3. Cup of Cheer
  • Now I know thee are not in a cup however I thought they were hilarious and certainly if you had taken a 'cup of cheer' of the above, you might end up very tipsy!

  • 5. Lights
Both these shots were photographed at the Victoria Centre in Belfast.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I thanks you for visiting today.

I had bad news yesterday.  My family in Malawi had a head on car crash (not their fault) and were all injured but all alive.   Praise the Lord.  If any of you can pray for a speedy recovery for them, I would appreciate it.  Their names are Jon, Judith, Daniel and Annika.  i will be arriving in Malawi on Thursday.

I am linking this post with SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY and THROUGH MY LENS.

Many thanks for comments you leave on this post.

  16. Lots of pretty lights. Nice to see family. Does this young fellow relish in the fact he's taller than his mom? Our 15-year-old granddaughter is taller than all but her daddy.

  17. Beautiful Christmasy photos! Love the one of you & your grandson dressed with Christmas cheer. And cheer of a different kind with those tipsy bottles...so funny! Brussel sprouts! We love them and had them with our Thanksgiving meal. I had never heard of it being holiday fare before....it's good to know!

  19. What beautful snowy photos...I hope we get some snow here soon as long as it stays off the roads. I love a white Christmas but when one is traveling, snow would not be welcome sight. I am so sorry to hear about the accident...I will remember them in my prayers. What a blessing they weren't injured more seriously!
