GOOD FENCES - Lifupa Conversation Lodge (Part 13 )

These are the lodges we stayed in.  We had two, one for the girls and the other for the boys.  We were quite safe when we were’ fenced’ inside them.  The Hippos would all come out of the water at night and pass by the lodges and come back down in the early hours of the morning.

This is the centre where I showed you recently an observation room upstairs overlooking the lake and a restaurant below it.

Sometimes in the early morning it was a bit misty but I could sit and watch the wild life from the lodge.  You can see in this sequence of shots, when the Antelope realised I was watching him.

I hope you enjoyed seeing this post and thanks for popping by.

I am linking this post with GOOD FENCES.

Many thanks for all who leave comments

  11. Great looking lodge building. The last time I stayed in a place like this it was south of Cancun, Mexico. The grass roof and round shape is traditionally Mayan. Must be common in other parts of the world as well.
