WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Birds seen on walk to Quarr Abbey

On Sunday while the rest of the family were delivering presents on the Isle of Wight I walked to Quarr Abbey and these are the birds I photographed.  I also saw Goldcrest, Blue Tit, Magpie and Jay as I walked through a forest area.  More photos of my walk in a later post.

Robin

Carrion Crow

Wood Pigeon

Pheasant

Black headed Gull

JackDaw

Pied Wagtail

These are 2 shots of Quarr Abbey.
The first one is taken at a distance and the second is shot when I arrived there.

I hope you enjoyed these few shots of the birds I saw along my walk to Quarr Abbey.

I am linking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.

Thank you for visiting and also to those who leave comments.

  1. Hi Margaret, Grant and I read your blog post together and we laughed at: "while others were delivering presents, I took a walk to Quar Abbey and these are the birds I photographed:" ! That's a true birder. We'll finish Christmas lunch on Thursday, come home with my dishes, left over food, pack it away and I'll change into shorts. Then we'll be off to see what birds are out and about on Christmas afternoon! I published my post in error today, (me and the days, these days, LOL) and placed it on schedule. Have a wonderful, blessed Christmas. Greetings from Jo and Grant (Tanzania)

    1. Hi Jo. You say. 'When we come back home on Christmas day' where do you have lunch that day? Glad I gave you both a laugh. if ever I manage to visit you, I can see we will be up and out early birding until we all drop!!!! But what better way to spend fun hours than in God's nature.

  4. Your robins look so different than ours, even their beaks. Do they run around on the ground picking up worms, like ours do?
