SATURDAY CRITTERS - Baboons and Monkeys at Montfort Cottage, Malawi

These are photographs and a video of Monkeys and Baboons with their young that I saw every morning as I walked down the road near where I was staying at Montfort Cottage in Malawi.  Enjoy the shots, the video is all the end of post.

  3. Meerkats - blau apies in the Southafrican language - and baboons are always nice to watch. When you take your time they will guarantee nice pictures.

  14. Wonderful photos Margaret. Interesting to think that these monkeys are as many as our squirrels are to us. I can't imagine these adorably monkeys jumping from tree to tree in my garden. Love the video too. Thank you :)

  15. Hi Margaret I love the mama baboon suckling her young. And there's an hilarious image of a very small baboon taking a tumble in one of your photos. This post takes me back to our year in Kenya where troops of monkeys cavorted on our lawn. If we didn't close the screen doors, they came inside. Hope you're enjoying your time on Isle of Wight. Jo
