WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Bonchurch and E. Cowes I.O.W. (Part 2)

These are the birds I saw during the morning’s walk at Bonchurch and East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.  I am linking this post with Wild Bird Wednesday.

  1. I do like these black headed gulls! And you got great pictures of them! But my favorite is your mallard shot. We have lots of them around here. But the way you took the picture is so beautiful! His head is shimmering like a jewel, and his beak is so highlighted. Such a beautiful picture.

  9. Great bird photos. The only bird I'm familiar with here is the Mallard duck. We have lots of those around. The rest must be ocean shore birds.

  20. A lovely day for the beach, we've had major flooding here. I really like the Green heads of the male Mallards, such beautiful colour. I wonder if the Turnstones actually turn stones like their name implies. I can't recall ever seeing Black Headed Gulls here in our part of the world.
