THROUGH MY LENS - Great Saltee Island (Part 2)

Danny, one of my bird class and I made our way down to Kilmore Quay, Wexford, Ireland where we spent the night before meeting up with the ten other people in our group the next morning.  However that evening I went out to see what shots I could take and I started with the The Wooden Horse Hotel where some of the group were stay however Danny and I had one of these apartments each which were very comfortable.

This is a very small place and I headed for the beach and Marina.

Oops!  Hope Danny does not take his car too close the edge!
Tomorrow I will show you the birds I  saw at Kilmore Quay.

I am linking this post with THROUGH MY LENS.

Many thanks for visitng  and also to all those who leave comments.

  1. There used to be a superb wet fish shop there.

  2. Don't like that last sign at all. Can you imagine that happening to someone.
The island seems like a great place for exploration and I really like the apartment!
Thank you for linking in with "Through My Lens"!

  3. The apartments look very, very comfortable.
I suspect that sign gets 'souvenired' quite often. Or it would here.

PS: it's not my anniversary, but that of Our Beautiful World, where I like to join in

  5. I oike the Dark Blue & white of the building in the 1st photo. The 2nd Marina photo looks great with the rocks in the foreground & all the small boats & fishing boats in the background. That sign certainly is one to take notice of. Pretty self explanatory Margaret.

  6. Plus when you run of the edge of the black square your car would probably get damaged when it nose dives into the black & yellow jagged lines

  14. I love the blue of the hotel and it looks as if the little beach is very pretty! I always dread driving near a harbour or marina in case that happens in the sign,

  15. The Wooden House Hotel is beautiful!! I love the blue and white. It also looks very clean, and a bit spartan...uncluttered. But in an appealing way. If I was in the car with you, I think I would take one look at this sign, and throw up!

  16. The sign gave me a giggle-fit! I don't have a lot of giggle-fits these days. Seems a wonderful place a while.
