WEEKEND REFLECTIONS AND THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter M and Multiply. Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter M and Multiply. Below is the Donaghadee MOTTE but known locally as The MOAT. It was constructed by the Anglo-Normans in the late 12th century.

Circa 1821 a picturesque castle, the Gunpowder Store, was built on top of the MOTTE to store explosives during the building of the ‘new’ harbour.

At Donaghadee Harbour I photographed this yacht MOORING along the pier and although a sailing yacht, it would have an inboard MOTOR installed.

I visited a National Trust Property recently and photographed MOORHEN with its lovely REFLECTION in the lake. Below this MAGNOLIA stellate shrub with MARVELLOUS MULTIPLY star like flowers was in the grounds of MOUNT Stewart Gardens, near Newtownards.

Dovecote at Mount Stewart, near Newtownards

I visited the National Trust Property of Mount Stewart, near Newtownards yesterday and discovered that they had done a lot of cutting back of foliage.  I only ever was able to see the top of the Dovecote before and never realised it was erected on these four pillars.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS AND THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter L and Loud. Now both these first two images are “out of the box” to illustrate LOUD Of course this is L for LIGHTHOUSE however do you know how LOUD a foghorn sounds from a LIGHTHOUSE? They run 149 decibels and that is nine decibels LOUDER than the point at which a person starts to feel pain.  Now that is LOUD

Have you heard of LOUD colours? LOUD colours have a striking vibrancy and brightness to the hue; They’re meant to excite the senses and stimulate emotions heavily. The colours in this skirt are LOUD and can be a perfect choice when looking to add vibrancy and energy to your colour palette.

LET me end this post with a LOVELY Spring REFLECTION image to calm the soul.

I hope you enjoyed this post today.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS AND THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter K and KOOKY. As far as I know, we do not use the word KOOKY in Northern Ireland, at least I have never heard it in 80 years!!  So these images may not fit the bill however I would call both these photos strange or eccentric which in the dictionary means KOOKY.  The second shot is my STREET PHOTOGRAPHY this week.
