Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter M and Multiply.
Circa 1821 a picturesque castle, the Gunpowder
Store, was built on top of the MOTTE to store explosives during the building of
the ‘new’ harbour.
At
Donaghadee Harbour I photographed this yacht MOORING along the pier and although a sailing
yacht, it would have an inboard MOTOR installed.
I visited a National Trust Property recently and photographed MOORHEN
with its lovely REFLECTION in the lake. Below this MAGNOLIA stellate shrub
with MARVELLOUS MULTIPLY star like flowers was in the grounds of MOUNT
Stewart Gardens, near Newtownards.
I appreciate your
visit and comments.
I hope you
enjoyed this post today.
Another lovely collection.
ReplyDeleteThe moorhen and the magnolia (which I cannot grow) have my vote this week.
Nicely done, Margaret.
ReplyDeleteHello Margaret,
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I love the Moorhen and the pretty flowers. Take care, enjoy your day and happy weekend!
The yacht is really pretty, I think that is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Have a grand weekend!
ReplyDelete...MOTTE is a word that I wouldn't have thought of. But you MAGNOLIA is MARVELOUS to see! Thanks MARGARET for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe moorhen is lovely! There are no buds on the trees here yet!
ReplyDeleteGreat reflection!
ReplyDeleteA really nice group of pictures. We like castles and have visited quite a few. This one is a little unique, probably not so way back then. And the duck, my favorite, looks determined in making her target destination.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to be sooo late coming here, I've had a busy weekend. Then we had to watch the LSU kids win their game, that was Arlene's aka Mrs. Jim's college.
