now, bloggers following my posts know I am on Great Saltee Island without any
fences so we will have to think a big ‘Out of the box’ today!! So this first photograph was actually taken
by Danny as I wedged my feet against this small wall/rock/fence to take shots
of this Gannet colony and discovered some chicks in the process. Enjoy the Gannet images and VIDEO with their young.

Their face and beak markings are beautiful! And a wonderful fluffy chick! The pictures are really worth all the discomfort you had to go through to snap them, ouch! The closeup of the two together is definitely my favorite!

there sounds are almost like an idling engine... you are very brave to brace on that tiny fence.. but the photos are worth it. these birds are fantastic and gorgeous and all new to me.. the app i used to edit the photo today is called Super Photo App, i have it on my android tablet.
