SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY and THROUGH MY LENS

I am at present on the Isle of Wight to see my granddaughter, Anna perform in a dance festival so all the shots are from the island except the first one.  It was taken in 2014 at the National Trust property at Mount Stewart, and these are the STAIRS in The Temple of the Winds.

One day I went by train to Shanklin which you will be hearing and seeing the photographs on Photo Scavenger Hunt on 31 March. I stopped in a MS charity coffee shop for some refreshments and meet this gentleman who was one of the volunteers. It turned out he was very interested in photography and I told him I was looking for photographs to fit certain word.

I said one of them was HOW YOU FEEL TODAY and asked if he would poise with a happy face as this was how I was feeling.  You can tell from his eyes that he also is happy and he said he would send me some of this photographs to show you.

This is a Magnolia FLOWER which of course I had a little play with.

I could have taken 100’s of GREEN shots but I have one for the men and one for the ladies as well as showing you the GREEN buses that travel all over the island.

There were a lot of ‘little GREEN men’ about although this one came out a bit bluish.  Below the lady is wearing a GREEN sweater and  GREEN wellies.

I hope you ladies you can read this as I thought it very funny.

Photographed through a window.

Below is Anna, straight after her performance and she still has her stage make up on.  We were taking her out for dinner as it was her 16th birthday.
She has beautiful blonde HAIR.

I hope you enjoyed my take on the word prompts this week.

I must apologise to all you have left comments during the past week as I have accidentally deleted them and cannot find a way of retrieving them.

Love those stairs - and yes, using more muscles DOES use more calories. The frown a day diet...

  12. Haha... I laughed when I read about you deleting your comments because that's what I did to your comment over on my blog this morning. Obvioulsy my multi-tasking skills were way off this morning, pressing delete instead of publish.
Anyway, fantastic photos. That chap certainly looks relaxed and happy in front of the lens and your first photo reminds me of a sea shell. It's fantastic.
You have a gorgeous daughter and I send belated Happy Birthday wishes to her.
    Thanks for sharing your photos.
Have fun and I wish you an eye catching, lens capturing week ahead.

  31. Thanks for visiting my blog. I see you got to see your granddaughter perform also, she's lovely. The photos I took of my granddaughter were taken without flash. Photos are allowed just no flash. That's way some come out a little blurry.
