SUNDAY THOUGHT - Hoopoe

                                 Leviticus 11 v 13 - 19

13 Here are the birds you must be sure to avoid. 
Do not eat them. Be sure to avoid them.  

19 They also include storks, hoopoes, bats and all kinds of herons.

  4. Good shots Margaret. I was lucky enough to see one in England once, but in Tuscany I use to see loads of them. They walk around you on the lawn and take no notice of you.

  11. this is such a beautiful bird. Normally they never coems to Sweden, but it happens sometiems. :) but I have never seen it here.

  12. Double WOW!!! This Hoopoe is beautiful and amazing! I have never seen anything like it!! It has the head of a pileated, but the beak of another bird. And black stripes on it's head and body. It even has fall colors!! But it does look like the bright markings are warning not to kill or eat.
