Today
I am still showing photographs from Dublin Zoo with my new camera without ANY
editing done. Lumix Panasonic DMC FZ 200 and mostly shot in auto mode Although they may not be
any reflections in the video at the end, as you can see from shot 1 & 2,
these animals are surrounded by water and there was reflections all around them
but I preferred to show you closer shots of the Sulaweai crested Macaque
monkey.
Sulaweai
crested Macaque monkey.
These
pink bottomed monkeys come from Sulaweai Island in Indonesia. Their hair is sleek except for the punk like
crest on top of their head.
Coot
Mute
Swan and Black headed Gulls
Elephant

Sorry, my video will not load onto the post today. I do not know whether it is youtube or blogger causing this problem however if you put the below web site into your server, you can still see the video.
I have found another easier solution to seeing the video.

I hope you enjoyed this post.
I know how a lot of you feel about these animals in Zoo's however as I hear about more and more animals possibly becoming extinct, I am wondering if this is the only way we will keep some of them. Yesterday I heard that there were only 15 breeding females of the smallest Dolphins in the world left!

Thank you for visiting.
Many thanks for all your comments.
I have a Lumix too, great cameras. The whole question of zoos is a difficult one, but they do do a great deal of conservation work as you say. Enjoy the weekend x
ReplyDeleteI love these pictures! I have a Canon G-15 I like a lot, but it's not great for covering much distance.

That must be one terrific zoo!! I just know I could spend hours there myself. Your photos, as always, are super.
ReplyDeleteRemember those days when you had to set everything on the cameras manually? I love the auto focus mode on the new digitals.
A great collection. Your new camera is doing really well!

A fine variety of animals in this zoo series. Very well done.
ReplyDeleteThe monkey has a nice side view.
ReplyDeletecute monkey resting there. :)
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the monkey and the water birds. I believe Zoos have their place in the world, but there is so many ways of improving their "inhabitants" lives....it is a question of money, as always.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, these are fabulous shots! I would like a Lumux camera one of these days. I have been enjoying the videos.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sharp images. Its fun to play with a new camera, especially when the results are this good.
ReplyDeleteI swear by my Lumix and looks like you're having great success with your own. Never been to Dublin Zoo but looks well worth a visit.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful captures of interesting creatures. I also use lumix panasonic, older version, and I shoot mostly in auto mode. By the way, thanks for sharing my post and for your comment.
ReplyDeleteYour monkey shot is priceless! He is just sitting there with his hands on his knees and thinking. Just like a person.
ReplyDeleteI like the open enclosures.
ReplyDeleteThe zoo is a great place to look for reflections!
ReplyDeletefor some reason I feel sorry for the monkey. It seems lonely.
ReplyDeletemy favorite of all these lovely shots is the first. thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful and lush look place. Nice photos of it also!
ReplyDeleteMargaret, wonderful shots from the zoo. I think you may be right about the animals becoming extinct, some are endangered and need the help.. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteDUBLIN ZOO must be really wonderful place to visit. I was amazed the sweet monkey which looks really rare one♪ And your camera is working SO greatly, Margaret♡♡♡

Loved your pictures, but You-Tube wouldn't let me see your video ... had a frowning face and said sorry this video is private. "But, I came by invitation" ... sadly they didn't respond! Hope you can fix it because I would love to see more. Interesting that you have a Lumix Panasonic ... let me know what you think of it after you have used it for awhile. It is certainly taking good pictures so far :)

Beautiful pictures and a lovely looking place for us to learn about these animals. :)
ReplyDeleteThe elephant is my favorite...fascinating animals.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful zoo and this is great serie of it.
ReplyDeleteGongratulation for your new camera.
Have a happy weekend.
Nice reflections and I like the monkey picture. :--)
ReplyDeleteI'm not too fond of zoo, usually, but I find this one quite pleasant : animals seem to have a lot of personal space, and don't look too anxious... Of course it would be so much better to photography them in the wildness, but... Well, you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteNice serie of reflections.
