Good Fences - Oxford Island

This is post is really a twin to go with the other post I did earlier today regarding Oxford Island so I hope you will have a look at what I found with my bird class when we visited there at the end of March.  Below are all the fences/walkways I photographed that day to fit in with the  GOOD FENCES meme that Tex is hosting.

The area of water is Lough Neagh.  It is a largest freshwater lake in Northern Ireland, supplying forty percent of its water; the biggest on the island of Ireland, the biggest by area in the United Kingdom, and the biggest by area in the British Isles.

This is Oxford Island Discovery Centre.

This walkway/bridge above leads up to the Discovery centre.

Now I decided to  put a link into this post in case anyone needed a laugh today.  Last year I took a video of "The Singing Donkeys"  at Oxford Island.  They are not there now so enjoy. CLICK HERE

I hope you enjoyed seeing the fences that are around Oxford Island.

Thank you for visiting.

Many thanks to all who left comments on any of my posts.

OMG; your photos and video of donkeys made me laugh a lot and not good for my sore throat and runny nose p;)
PS> Thank you SO much for the name "Mallard". I clicked the picture page from the name and very happy to learn it. They are the ones we can always see in my city park now. I still miss swans A LOT we used to have which killed due to the bird flu.
Sending you Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*

  11. Re your question on my blog. We grew our grass (Dichondra) from seeds. It's very easy to manage and you don't have to mow it. Plus, it looks very pretty. I can recommend it.

  12. I love the post and rope railings on the docks and the singing donkey is hilarious. In listening to your moderating the video I realized we sound so much alike when doing that. You paused exactly where I would have and your inflection and intonation are so similar to mine. LOL Oh how interesting!

  16. Wow that 1st shot is awesome. Great perspective. This sounds like a wonderful place to visit. It's a shame the Donkey's aren't there now. I wonder why? That video was funny. That was one "vocal" donkey!

  28. i love the rope fencing. looks lovely at the seas. i wonder why they don't do that in more locations? i guess it is not that sturdy or ideal for keeping animals out of the area. ( :
