National Hugging Day

Today is National Hugging Day! (It might now have been yesterday with you!) Whether you prefer Bear Hugs, Heart-to-Heart Hugs, Cheek Hugs, or Side Hugs, embrace your loved ones today to show your love and affection.

Yellow and Blue Macaws taken in Paraguay

Scientific studies have demonstrated that hugs are incredibly good for us.  A hug can lower your blood pressure, trigger the release of healthy hormones (like oxytocin), and relieve stress.  Doctors recommend a minimum of 4-6 hugs per day for our emotional and physiological well-being, but more is always better!

The record for most hugs given in one hour by an individual is 1,749.

So a hug from me to you.

As you can see my  blog is up and running again and I want to thanks all those bloggers who sent comments, suggestions and emails to encourage me.  I appreciate very single one.  I will officially be resuming next week as I am at present birding with 11 others in Scotland.  I hope to have some good photos and stories to share with you when I return so have a great week.

I am linking this with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

Thank you for visiting today

HI Jeanne Apart from blogger not working for me, I got scammed trying to fix it and had to have my total system wiped clean losing all my emails and folders but my photos and documents are saved which is at least great. I was so upset, I have not gone on blogger or commented however I am back now, at least next week I will be. Of now to Scotland.
