The Bangor group of the RSPB always go for an evening walk
in August to look to see what birds are around the village of Groomsport, followed by supper
at a restaurant. Although we saw 25
different species during our walk, I did not manage to capture many on
camera. These are the shots taken that
evening.
A view of the Yachts in the bay at Groomsport in the beautiful evening sun.
Common Gull on the left and a Black headed Gull on the right

Young Carrion Crow with white patches
You might be interested to look at the post entitled 'Expect the Unexpected' on 7 August when I told you about the Terns nesting on the island behind these yachts, however that evening, (1day later) all of them including the young had all left the island.
Finally, just before we reached the restaurant, I spied these Swallows sitting on the wire.
I hope you enjoyed this post and now I am rushing to catch a plane. I am off on holiday this morning but hope to do some posting
while I am away.
However I probably will
not have time to comment on all of your posts.
Thanks for visiting today.
MANY THANKS TO ALL who left comments on any of my posts
yesterday. At present, my replies seem
to be staying on blogger so perhaps they have got that problem fixed now.

DeleteI love your first picture the best. Everything about it, the light and the boats, is wonderful! I have been reading your comments about the oven, glad you fixed it yourself. Many years ago our old oven would not work and I held a match inside. I blew it up and burned my bangs off my forehead. I hope you have a lovely time.
