Ballymacormick Point Walk PLUS video

I am so fortunate to have beautiful walks and scenery within easy reach of my home and today I am going to show you photos and video I took from a walk I did from Ballymacormick Point into Groomsport Village which is about 2 miles away.

Reed Bunting -Male

'Look at me, aren't I pretty'

Reed Bunting -Female
I have never turned a bird colour photo into black and white so I experimented with the 2 photos below.  I thought they made quite atmospheric shots although I know some of you will be shouting, NO!!!!

Sedge Warbler
Meadow Pipit - Young
Meadow Pipit - Adult with food
Reed Bunting- female
Thorns
Whitethroat
Greenfinch
Dunnock

Stonechat - Female
Linnet
This video shows some of the birds that I was able to capture and I have not added music to it because I am hoping that you can hear at least some of them singing.  Enjoy.

Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you will share it with others.

  5. Once again super photos, I quite like the black and whites. The little green bit on Mr Reed bunting is quite unique isn't it? The video is great, I can hear the birds...you are spoiled with the variety aren't you.

Thank you for these gorgeous photos - and for stopping in at Cranberry Morning. Maybe I should make an entire Medieval village! :-)

  16. Hi there - we can become obsessed with colour - and forget that there is beauty in texture, tone and form - in other words I like the B/W.

This would be a good post to link to WBW.

  19. HI Frank Many thanks for your comments. Yes have a go at B/W. It is fun to experiment. I shoot them in colour and then change them. That way you have both still. Margaret
