These are Pale - bellied Brent Geese and there are 30,000 of them that winter in Northern Ireland. Usually we see them on the water but perhaps
they fancies a little change of diet! I
photographed these at dawn on one of my early walks.

Good to see these geese. We do not have Brant geese, but have many Canada geese and Snow geese. They do enjoy some fresh grass.
