Following on from yesterday’s post, these are a few
more birds I photographed on the very dull day on Belfast Lough. I am
linking it with Wild Bird Wednesday. Most of the birds were sleeping as the
tide was in. They are Redshank, Ringed Plover, Turnstone and finally one Dunlin.
Many thanks for visiting and also for leaving comments.

Wonderful birds - we get to see some of these species in Australia as well.

Well, I will use the phrase that we often use about children. They are so cute and sweet when they are sleeping!
ReplyDeleteStill--- they were keeping an eye on you! Nice pictures, for sure.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds and I love the colour of the rocks. Such a dramatic backdrop.

Once again your have introduced me to a number of birds with which I am not familiar. Of course we live thousands of miles from the sea, and these look like shore birds.
ReplyDeleteNice group of pics. Glad you shared them since I haven't seen these before.
ReplyDeleteA nice group of birding sightings for a poor day! The ringed plover is just gorgeous!
