I am back to posting on when we visited the bulb fields
at Keukenhof Gardens in Holland and linking it with Fridays Hunt and Weekend Reflections. This week we have the
letter U, Favourite and Kids. Near the
end of our stay there is started raining and guess what, I have UMBRELLA images
to show you and also a REFLECTION shot as well as some KIDS under UMBRELLAS. Enjoy.
I will be showing you more about this windmill when we
get to the letter ‘W’
Although
it rained, it did not stop us enjoying the great beauty of the flowers.
Many
thanks for visiting and also for all your comments.
Umbrella pictures are always so much fun. My favorite umbrella picture is the one with the pink azaleas, she is looking over the tulip fields in the distance. I love the big green archway. And someone is sitting in a big wooden shoe! I do hope you post again about this windmill, it is awesome! And why are all those people holding up those big wooden sticks on the windmill? The bulb pictures are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThose 'big wooden sticks' that you mention are part of the construction of the windmill and at the top of the 'sticks' you will see a platform where people are standing and in fact that is wher I took the 8th shot from Ginny.
ReplyDeleteEven in the rain it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that there is a windmill 'language'? Where the sails are set has meaning...
yes it was a big job to keep the cameras dry adn yet take photographs. No I did not know about the wndmill 'language' must look that uup before the letter W comes up.
DeleteThere certainly were some umbrellas, but also some lovely colourful pics
ReplyDeleteTake care, Gordon.
Beautiful shots! I love photos of people with umbrellas. The colorful flowers give a nice pop to the rainy day.
ReplyDeleteOne has to be a Northerner to visit Keukenhof while raining! Good to see these familiar sights:) Margaret, I checked, but this week the letter for Fri Hunt is U (you can still change it:) )
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what you mean. I have done U for UMBRELLA
DeleteBeautiful show of Tulips Margaret.
ReplyDeleteA rainy day, it was an umbrella day.
ReplyDeleteWhat a selection of umbrellas ! Great flowers you're sharing again, Margaret. Thanks for visiting my blog. I wondered WHY I was doing the hike once it was under way. Because I wasn't 100% over my cold yet. But was very glad when I made it. Else I'd have to wait another year to do this specific walk. Have a great day. Jo
ReplyDeleteGood collection of umbrellas! I don't mind taking photos in the rain as long as I can keep my camera dry.
ReplyDeletelol, I guess the rain gave you some interesting shots :)
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed these umbrella photos Margaret. They make for great photos. Even with the rain the tulips are gorgeous, and lovely scenery.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly found some colourful umbrellas and always those gorgeous flowers as well.
