Time for Friday’s Hunt and Weekend Reflections and all
the photographs were taken at the Keukenhof Gardens in Holland and the letter
this week is S, Favourite (how can you choose!) and Family. We are starting with a panoramic shot with
REFLECTIONS of the lake. For the letter
S, I am showing you some SCULPTURES that have been weaved beautifully through
the flowers in bloom.
Over on the other side of one of the lakes, quite a
distance away I saw this Mallard and then realised she had her FAMILY underneath her. Later she took
all six of them for a swim.
Many
thanks for visiting and also for leaving comments.
Glorious. Truly glorious.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Hello Margaret, a delightful post! Beautiful surroundings, thoroughly enjoyed the sculptures and those tulip displays. The duck family is darling. Thank you for sharing these super images.
ReplyDeleteThose colors are fascinating, so many great flowers. Love the ducks as well!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos Margaret, the scuptlures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous place. So full of colour.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, lovely photos and the colours are fantastic, I answered your comment by the way, and no worries, Take care Gordon.
ReplyDeleteHolland may be lacking in landscape features but it makes up for it in colour............
ReplyDeleteLove the little duck family!! Thank you for stopping by, Margaret. I do so understand the lack of time and energy with life's demands. Bless you, sweet lady. xoxo ~ t.
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret, it was fun seeing the great colors of the flowers, but I will confess that the mother duck and her family really caught my eye. I am a first time visitor who stopped in from a Denise's An English Girl Rambles blog and have spent some time reading previous posts while on my visit as I am always looking for different blogs and bloggers to read about and invite you to drop in for a visit anytime as well.
ReplyDeleteWow there's some vivid colour there alright!
ReplyDeleteWow! What stunning flowers and the sculptures just added to the beauty of this place. I so enjoyed all this and the cute little ducks too.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. The colourful reflections are stunning.
ReplyDeleteOh Margaret!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures This garden is wonderful
Greetings.
What a splendid post! Since we never travel, I love travelling long with you and seeing the sights. So gorgeous, both God made and man made combined together. Now, the first picture of the mallard and babies. I thought it was another sculpture! Then when I read what you said, I had to go back and look again! Those shots are so cute, they may be my favorites. Yes, the last picture with mom and babies and the beautiful flowers is definitely my favorite. But I love the sculptures among the flowers! And the man, it looks like he is holding a cross and praying. Are the gardens owned by a religious organization?
ReplyDeletestunning, absolutely stunning!!! awesome captures of this beautiful garden - i would love to visit!!!
ReplyDeleteand no worries about comments, please - i enjoy comments but i can see a lot of people read and don't have the time to leave a comment!!!
So lovely park. The bird tree (11) is fantastic. And the reflection is so beautiful with all lovely colorful flowers.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice weekend.
The flowers are spectacular--- but that first shot of mom with her brood is especially nice. Don't worry about being busy, I know you stop by.
ReplyDeleteNice tulip gardens! And sculptures!
ReplyDeleteThere isn't a lot of colour in my landscape right now, so it is a delight to see the vibrant colours you have on show here. Lovely sculptures, too. I particularly like the man praying with his rosary beads.
ReplyDelete...Margaret, beauty from beginning to end.
ReplyDeleteI want to go to those gardens! It is another gloomy day here, not a normal May at all!
ReplyDeleteWow - I'd love to visit there. The colours are so vibrant - I would be unable to leave, I think!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Margaret. This is such a pretty garden, especially, I suppose, in the spring. I don't think I've seen a real mallard other than up high, flying in formation. She is also very pretty. She definitely is in charge over her brood.
ReplyDelete..
lovely series of photos! Cute ducklings!!!!
ReplyDeletewow, that is a special garden. Love all the sculpures and flowers :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place! It has such a variety of sculptures. I certainly wouldn't be able to choose a favorite. Thanks so much for joining Friday's Hunt. Hope you have a great week!
