THROUGH MY LENS

Recently my birders and I visited the Floodgates and Kiltonga Nature Reserve in Newtownards to do a spot of bird watching and we saw this lovely family of Mute Swans.

SUNDAY THOUGHT

 The waters nourished it,

    deep springs made it grow tall;
their streams flowed
    all around its base
and sent their channels
to all the trees of the field.

Ezekiel 31:4

Photographed on the I.O.W.

Many thanks for visiting and also for leaving any comments and stay safe.

Have a Blessed Sunday.

SATURDAY CRITTERS

This week these photographs were taken on a day recently when 2 of my birders and I visited my old caravan to get the grass cut and then bird watched round the Dundrum and Castlewellan areas of Country Down.  On our way we saw these cattle in a field when we were looking for Red Kites which unfortunately we did not see that day.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS AND THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is P and Peaceful.  We start with a few POLICE cars at the Classic Car Show in Ryde on the I.O.W followed by a PEACEFUL scene of this yacht called PUMPKIN in the Marina giving me a PERFECT REFLECTION image.  Then another PEACEFUL scone looking over to the PIER and PASSING by is a POODLE on a PADDLE board with a PERSON with a PONY tail, PADDLING PEACEFULLY around the Harbour. Finally I suppose we could call this shot Street PHOTOGRAHY where this PERSON has PEELED off his top, his glasses are PEARCHED on his head and he is PEERING intently at his mobile.

GOOD FENCES

This week these photographs were taken on a day recently when 2 of my birders and I visited my old caravan to get the grass cut and then bird watched round the Dundrum and Castlewellan areas of Country Down.  Yesterday I showed you 2 kinds of fungi when I looked over that wall and I photographed the second shot because I just liked the gate.

FUNGI

This week these photographs were taken on a day recently when 2 of my birders and I visited my old caravan to get the grass cut and then bird watched round the Dundrum and Castlewellan areas of Country Down. While looking over a wall to see some birds I spotted these 2 kinds of fungi. I do not know what they are called.

WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

This week these photographs were taken on a day recently when 2 of my birders and I visited my old caravan to get the grass cut and then bird watched round the Dundrum and Castlewellan areas of Country Down. This  first shot is when we were just leaving the caravan and you will see a Little Egret in flight and the second shot shows you how far away it actually was when I shot it.  Then in another area we “just about” saw this bird.  Can you see it in the first of the two shots?  It is a Curfew but well disguised in its surroundings.
