These Swallows were doing their best in the wind and the
rain to stay on the fence and all the shots were taken from inside my car.You will hear on the video at the end I still
have my indicator light on as you can hear the tick tock!!!
I hope you liked the Swallows and I thank you for
visiting. I finally arrived at my friend Trish's home,unpacked and settled in for a few days, however once again NATURE had a different idea and all will be revealed on Monday's Post.

I
came arcoss these sheep and lambs on Inch Island, Donegal that is accessed by a
causeway. The sheep were shedding their
coats and the lambs adorable.

When
I realised I was not going be able to get onto Tory Island that day and before
the rest of the group arrived, I went down the Magheroarty Pier to see the
fishermen landing their catch of crabs. The video at the end shows this.

One of the reason for trying to going to Tory island is to hear and/or see the Corncrakes that we no longer have in Northern Ireland. In fact on my way where I recorded the video from yesterday, I was surprised to hear one and the next day, when the boat was cancelled, I heard 2 more near this lake above.

you enjoyed seeing the birds as I motored towards Buncrana in Donegal where I was fortunate to have a friend's home to stay at. Tomorrow, I will show you through stills and video what the Fishermen were unloading on Magheroarty Pier.
As I mentioned to you on
Saturday’s post I was going to stay on Tory Island for 2 days, however the weather
turned nasty and the ferryman said the ferry was not going that day and
probably not the next day either. The small group I was bringing over were very
disappointed however Chris, who lives in Donegal said he would take us bird
watching around the Dunfanaghy area for a morning. So this week, I will be showing those
photographs and today I start with some scenic shots around Magheroarty Pier and after I left the group I toured round Inch Island on my way to stay with a friend at Buncrana.
You
will see on the video at the end that I went to Magheroarty Pier after I have
booked into my hotel for 1 night, just to make sure I knew where to go the next morning for
the ferry. However as you now know the
ferry was off although I still had to go and meet the rest of the group at the
pier the next day and then make other arrangements as the ferryman said the ferry would most probably be off the following day also!
