SATURDAY CRITTERS - Cats at Blessingbourne House

These are the cats that live around the Blessngbourne Estate.  The black and white one belongs to one of the workers.  The other one belongs to the owners of Blessingbourne House, Colleen and Nick Lowry and is sitting outside one of their entrances (last 2 shots).

Once again, sorry for the quality of these shots as the camera was not at the correct settings since Daniel fiddled with it.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS and FRIDAY'S HUNT - Blessingbourne House

Once again it is time for Friday’s Hunt and Weekend Reflections and this week the letter is G, Favourite and Wheels.  Mainly I have 2 videos for you to illustrate G and Wheels so bear with me.  All these shots and video were taken when I, as a GRANNY I took my daughter adn GRAND CHILDREN to Blessingbourne House for 4 days while they were home from Malawi.  We had a ball and wonderful place for a family holiday.

This is Crunchie, a Pygmy GOAT who loves his ears scratched..  He was called Crunchie  because he grinds his teeth and last ime I was at Blessingbourne he had a another goat friend but he died of a stroke.  The clip shows Daniel having fun feeding Crunchie. If the video which included some hens (more about themm next week) does not appear below, CLICK HERE.

GO, GIRL GO!
We bailed out this rowing boat and had several rows on the lake but on this occasion I was on my own so it was extremely difficult to take a photograph when I was rowing but after putting the camera on 2 buckets and on the other seat, then not wobbling the boat, I managed it!

I have hundred of reflection shots from the lake
but I will leave you with this one today. My FAVOURITE things to do at Blessinbourne House was to row by myself on the lake. So peaceful.

At Blessingbourne House, we always seem to be on WHEELS of some description as there was fabulous Mountain Bike Trails but more about that another day.  There was a half covered area with all kinds of ‘things’ to ride as well as a table tennis equipement and so I am showing you a video of the family having fun doing just that. Below I am trying to teach Annika to ride a bike (more of that another day also).

If the video does not appear below, CLICK HERE.

GOOD FENCES - Toy Boy, Cowboy and Lola at Blessingbourne House, Co. Tyrone, N.Ireland

Toy Boy belongs to Colleen the owner of Blessingbourne House and although she is very busy  running the estate with all it's activities with her husband Nick, she finds time to ride Toy Boy as often as possible.  He is 9 years old and a beautiful horse with a large appetite.   The other two greys are Cowboy and Lola and were friendly and loving.  Daniel especially loved them.  Sorry about the quality of these shots but unbeknown to me Daniel had changed so many settings on my camera and I could not get it right for a while.

Bangor Walled Garden with my Family

My family from Malawi had just had great fun in the swimming pool and then we went over the Bangor Walled Garden to have a picnic on one of the lawns.  I didn’t take many shots on this occasion, just enjoyed showing the family the grounds.

Thanks for your visit and also you comments.

WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Mount Stewart Swans with their Cygnets

I photographed these Swans with their cygnets when I took my family from Malawi there to see the magnificent House and Gardens at Mount Stewart, near Newtownards, Northern Ireland.  The cygnets are growing up fast and I must get back soon to see how they are getting on.

THROUGH MY LENS - Video at the WOW RSPB Bird Centre.at Sunrise, Belfast

Last week I showed you a sunrise over the lake at the Wow Centre at Belfast Harbour RSPB Reserve and while going to one of the hides I saw quite a number of bunnies however today I want to show you a VIDEO of the lake and the birds all frantically feeding in the early morning light.  I set it to music so grab a coffee, sit back, relax and enjoy.

I shot the video through a very dirt window with flies on it from one of the hides.  If the video does not appear CLICK HERE

I hope you are relaxed at the start of another week and thanks for visiting.

SUNDAY THOUGHT -Horse

A horse is a vain hope for deliverance;
