Kigelia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Bignoniaceae. The genus consists of only one species, Kigelia africana, which occurs throughout tropical Africa. The so-called sausage tree grows a poisonous fruit that is up to 60 cm long, weighs about 7 kg, and resembles a sausage in a casing.

Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter D and Dull. During my visit to Australia, it nearly rained every day although there was also some sun but unlike Northern Ireland, the rain was warm! However this first shot shows that it is a DULL DAY when I started my journey to Cairns Botanical Gardens. Then we have a hybrid Mallard and two sleeping Black DUCKS however you can see that is was raining from the last two shots as I had rain on my lens. I was with a Bird Group but the DULL DAMP weather DID not DAMPEN our spirits. The final image is my REFLECTION shot.

lobby of a hotel in Australia. The one that had the
two unusual chairs in it that I showed you them last week. The wooden chairs were not comfortable to sit
on!

I photographed this Papuan Frogmouth
in the Cairns Botanic Gardens, Australia. It was very well disguised and difficult to see. So these photographs are zoomed in.
