GOOD FENCES

Previously I showed you photographs when I took my birder to find a lake in Killynether Wood and this is one of the step paths down to the lake but we were rewarded by seeing a lovely Mute Swan family with their 3 cygnets.

    Interesting fence, sweet cygnets. I wonder why they aren't called swanlets.

    Swans have a reputation of being aggressive. Hope this one allowed all of you to pass unchallenged.

    Love the idea of following that trail, especially if there's a swan family to be seen on the way.
